Sparklers

Sparklers are handheld fireworks that burn a bright, sparkling flame along a metal or bamboo stick. They are one of the most recognizable firework types and are popular for celebrations like the Fourth of July, birthdays, weddings, and other festive events.

A sparkler consists of a wire or stick coated with pyrotechnic composition. When the fuse is lit, the coating burns slowly and emits bright colored sparks. These can be held in hand or placed in the ground if designed for that use.

When lighting a sparkler you should expect a long burning time compared to fuses on aerial fireworks. There will be a continuous trail of sparks with no aerial bursts, as the effects stay close to the user. There are various sizes and ranges of duration depending on the design.
